Peter, a brilliant scientist, is told that he will lose everything he loves.
His husband. His family. His friends. His ability to travel the world. All will be gone.
But Peter will not give up. He vows that this will not be the end and instead seeks a completely new beginning...
Peter has Motor Neurone Disease, a condition universally considered by doctors to be terminal. He is told it will destroy his nerve cells and that within an average of two years, it will take his life too.
But, face-to-face with death, he decides there is another way. Using his background in science and technology, he navigates a new path, one that will enable him not just to survive, but to thrive.
This is the astonishing true story behind the primetime Channel 4 documentary, about Peter Scott-Morgan the first person to combine his very humanity with artificial intelligence and robotics to become a full Cyborg. His discovery means that his terminal diagnosis is negotiable, something that will rewrite the future. And change the world.
By embracing love, life and hope rather than fear, tragedy and despair he will become Peter 2.0.

Peter's Story
Peter: The Human Cyborg review — part man, part machine, totally inspirational
Stephen Hawking once told Peter Scott-Morgan that the key to living with motor neurone disease, possibly the highest scorer in the Top Trumps of fiendishly cruel illnesses, was to focus on what you can do and not on what you can’t.
Inspiring!
Heartbroken Peter died but left hope and determination to others. Long may his fighting spirit live on ♥️

Compelling Read!
I imagine many people like me will choose to read this book because they are fascinated by
Peter's story. What I hadn't expected was to enjoy it so much as a book in its own right. Not only
is Peter a brilliant scientist but he is an accomplished writer, too. His wonderful sense of humour
shines through on every page which, given the subject matter, came as a delightful surprise. I am
recommending this book to everyone I meet!

Peter never ceases to amaze and inspire me! His story, the documentary and this book have changed my opinion on MND which we sadly lost my cousins to and broke our family’s hearts - if only I knew of Peter’s story earlier xxx you’re an inspiration Peter thank you! May you and your beautiful husband be forever happy xx
